This is going to piss off a bunch of people. But if it was up to me someone like this would be stripped of his citizenship and set down there to stay. This is coming from someone from this country and who has made a good living here. You don't like it.....then LEAVE!

CARACAS, Venezuela Jan 8, 2006 — The American singer and activist Harry Belafonte called President Bush "the greatest terrorist in the world" on Sunday and said millions of Americans support the socialist revolution of Venezuelan leader Hugo Chavez.

Belafonte led a delegation of Americans including the actor Danny Glover and the Princeton University scholar Cornel West that met the Venezuelan president for more than six hours late Saturday and attended his television and radio broadcast on Sunday.

"No matter what the greatest tyrant in the world, the greatest terrorist in the world, George W. Bush says, we're here to tell you: Not hundreds, not thousands, but millions of the American people … support your revolution," Belafonte told Chavez during the broadcast.

The 78-year-old Belafonte, famous for his calypso-inspired music, including the "Day-O" song, was a close collaborator of the Rev. Martin Luther King Jr. and is now a UNICEF goodwill ambassador. He also has been outspoken in criticizing the U.S. embargo of Cuba.

I just knew you would say that. I'll refer to good ol' dictionary.com to help out.
Nationalized:
To convert from private to governmental ownership and control: nationalize the steel industry.

1. To make national in character, scope, or notoriety: “His high profile on such issues as abortion... has already begun to nationalize his image” (Kenneth L. Woodward).
2. To render distinctively national: characteristics and issues that have tended to nationalize American political life.
Now most reasonable people would assume a 50% stake by a national company as the majority shareholder. Now I can lead this horse to water see, but I can't make it drink....

All you did was dismiss with the likes of your "absolute crap" comment and condescend. I am willing to communicate, you are unable. That is why I feel it isn't worth my time.

It bothers me because the guy is an idiot who lends encouragement to those who wish to do harm the the US and our way of life. I guess if he is allowed to come back to the US and lives, he will have been proven wrong about his statement. Obviously the biggest tyrant and terrorist in the world wouldn't put up with that.

Whose life Jill? You haven't explained why this guy is an idiot. How do you know that his actions are specifically making life tough for you? You've implied he is wrong and then gone on and stated that somehow voicing the complaint is wrong if not on american soil. You have not told any of us why. A gripe is a gripe and location does not affect that. To say nothing more just leaves the pundits open to label this as yet another looney left episode. I refuse to let that happen.

Obviously the biggest tyrant and terrorist in the world wouldn't put up with that.

And you wonder where my sarcasm comes from.....

Sorry but this is a pile of do-do! "If" this were a fact and I do stress "if"....Then it would show that on the board of directors. Which they don't so they aren't. Just an fyi....if they want to do business in the US, under US incorperation laws they MUST show all directors which with your logic would include the government of Venezula. And if you bothered to check the link I posted, they ain't there. And "yes" they are an incorperated company in the US.
