I find that Rosie O'Donell defending that human piece of trash (fonda) to be quite disgusting. Although they're both trash.

Rosie O'Donnell apparently wants to give a little gas to one of her many careers.

O'Donnell has been a standup comic, TV talk show host, magazine publisher and Broadway star, but now she's acting in movies again.

You may have seen Rosie recently in the made-for-TV film "Riding the Bus with My Sister." In it, she portrays a developmentally challenged woman.

While on a promo tour for the flick, O'Donnell took time out to come to the defense of Jane Fonda and her traitorous Vietnam conduct.

Rosie related a tale to Fox News Channel's Geraldo Rivera about how when she "was a kid and the Vietnam War was on," Fonda was "the only person standing up and saying what every kid that was 9 years old like I was knew -- war is wrong and we shouldn't go over and kill people."

It made me wonder whether the sight of Rosie making an appearance on the supposedly arch-conservative Fox News Channel, shooting the breeze with Geraldo and heaping praise on Hanoi Jane had liberals reaching for their smelling salts.

O'Donnell continued opining militarily, saying, "You know [President Bush] invaded a sovereign nation [Iraq] in defiance of the U.N. He is basically a war criminal! He should be tried in the Hague!"

She disclosed that her publicist recommended she "stop talking about politics."

Rosie is now expressing herself through her blog. In fact she writes that she recently turned down an invitation from the "Late Show with David Letterman" because executive producer Rob Burnett had accused her of trying to steal Letterman's job.

The Left Coast Report can't say it better than Burnett's counter, "The last thing I want to do is get into a fight with a powerful celebrity who has a blog read by tens of people."

Great article!!!

I used to love watching "A&E's Evening at the Impov" and other stand up comic based shows. Among my favorites was Rosie O'Donnell. She was fresh, funny and upbeat! The first couple of seasons of her talk show were a breath of fresh air in a stale world of the "talk show" meat market. The bits about "meeting" her childhood icons was just great television. Who can forget the running gag of "my Tommy".

Then two young punks shot up their school, Rosie made a speech about how "It's time we finally ban guns", and Rosie completely ceased to be funny. I kept watching the show after that, but there was a definite change in the show. She started attacking guests who didn't agree with her, her lesbian status became a point she felt she had to make over and over, and the show died. A long, painful death.

Now she aligns herself with one of the few textbook examples of the Constitutional definition of treason in modern days. She even goes so far as lying to bolster her rhetoric. I guess all the protest marches and demonstrations in the 60' and 70's were all just music festivals. I mean really Rosie "the only person standing up and saying what every kid that was 9 years old like I was knew -- war is wrong and we shouldn't go over and kill people." No, HanoiJane was among the few who put on an enemy uniform and volunteered to take an active role in their war effort. That is not an anti war message, that is a pro war message for the other side.

Hanoijane recently performed another "apology" to the vets. Once again her "apology" coincided with the release of a book. I guess Rosie sees profits in riding the traitor. Apparently it's an easier way to make a living than being funny.

What happened Rosie, you were really good... once!

I ignore her.  After that stunt with Bull shit Streisand, I knew she was a loon!  And then the wedding in SF?  She was certifiable stupid!

hanoijane commited a crime. Do we let others get off scott free, just because they apologize? For some reason, the only time she apologizes is when she has a film or book coming out.

What do I want? I want her to face her accusers in her day in court. Nothing more, or less. She stands accused of treason against the United States. That is a capital offense, not merely a faux pas for which an apology is acceptable.

Seems as though she's just as ignorant as she was when she was 9. Maybe she should crack and book and read what the war was about, and what was going on before we 'went over there to kill people'...
