Kerry: Bin Laden Cost Me Election

Failed presidential candidate John Kerry is blaming Osama bin Laden for "scaring" voters into re-electing President Bush.

Fox News Channel's Geraldo Rivera caught up to Kerry on Thursday in Little Rock, Ark., where he was attending the opening of the Clinton Presidential Library.

"Tough luck, senator," Rivera said to Kerry, referring to his Election Day defeat.
According to Rivera, Kerry replied:

"It was that Osama tape — it scared them [the American people]."

Kerry told the Fox host that the terror master's October surprise came too late - just four days before the vote - for him to counter.

"Senator Kerry clearly believes not only is it the security issue that cost him the election, but very specifically the Osama tapes coming out in the 11th hour," Rivera reported Friday.

The bin Laden tape echoed attacks by Kerry and other Democrats on President Bush, including references to the disputed Florida election in 2000, Halliburton and a scene from Michael Moore's "Fahrenheit 9/11."

At the time, Democrats said the video would likely help Kerry, because it would remind Americans that Bush had failed to capture bin Laden.

Actually, it did help me a little to decide. Not between Bush and Kerry, but between Bush and a third party canidate. Not because I was scared, but because I didn't want OBL saying he got our president unelected like in Spain.

I will not resort to name calling. But there was no excuse for the way you posted the english lesson. You will find it extremely difficult from here on out to say things like that on *my* blog again.

Proud to be a member of a "red" state...regardless of the OBL tape, in which he threatened attacks Bush states. Pshaw!

He he he . . . It'd be great to see OBL come to Texas . . . he'd have his ass kicked many times over before he made it off the plane to step foot on Texas soil.

He'd be *very* lucky if that was ALL that happened to him.

there doesnt seem to be any other mention of this online except reiterations of the original foxnews report. without meaning to question rivera's veracity ya gotta wonder why kerry woulda passed this lil gem on solely to geraldo as well as the reason rivera had to difficulty remembering the exact wording of such a huge 'exclusive' revelation.

michael moore posted a link so maybe it is true cuz after all, two negatives make a positive.

Amen to That!!!!

Osama failed to mention Ralph Nader in his video, obviously Nader is the only one bin Laden is scared of, so this this video really should have helped Nader, not Bush or Kerry.

Fox? You can't seriously believe that that news network is credible can you Kerry did not "blame" anyspecific element for his defeat. Did he list reasons? Certainly but when you lose you lose he understood the American public had listened to the arguments and made their desision. Talk about whining? Please...

CBS, MSBC? Oh come on give me a little something more to work with ABC I mean please I think that deserves your labeling! I guess my comment was a little blunt in this world you can't trust the networks to give bipartisan views but may hap the news networks you see as liberal are so much closer to being bipartisan you see them as being liberal. (Under assumption that was what you are getting at!)
Sincerely,
