vigorous bump.

I saw this earlier, and honestly, I think it's gay.

I think this was very well done and has an important message.

I certainly cried while watching it.

Sounds like you're in the minority on this Tex.

15?  Damn good.  Like others, I have seen it before, but it still is moving.

1. Assuming for the moment that she is (doubtful)...so what? What is the point of your statement?

2. Considering the number of replies that agree with you drmiler, it's likely that Tex is in the majority (again, why this matters I have no idea).

3. As for my reaction, it made me (and my wife) want to gag.

Abe, you need to do a little math. Using your own statement "considering the number of replies that agreed with you"...since up to that point Tex being the "only" dissenting voice, that makes her in the minority. Not the majority. And just as an fyi.....it's my blog and I don't need a point to make a statement. Not that I care much for you and your wifes reaction. It makes me sick.

drmiler,

How many people who have looked at this post have agreed with you? The silence is deafening.

Because of the subject, almost everyone who dislikes it isn't very likely to say so.

OK...

Lets put it this way....out of 11 posts, there were 4 posts from me and 4 posts agreeing with me. That's 8 out of 11 in agreement and 3 dissents with 2 coming from you. Sounds to me like the agreements outweigh those opposed.

Because of the subject, almost everyone who dislikes it isn't very likely to say so.

What does the subject have to do with voicing a dissenting position?

Not that it matters, but...

Thought it was great:

Poison
DG
MM

Thought it was kind of gay:

Me
LW
Abe

Looks like you're the tie-breaker, drmiler.

(My husband is currently serving in Iraq, and I can guarantee you he would think it's gay too)

Nup, no tears here. Guess I must be beyond hope, then. I thought it was heavy on the sacchrine and, yes, gay...

Ahhhh, but she "did" say she got a little teary eyed. So while she may have thought it on the gay side...she was "still" moved by it, which was the object of the thread. So technically speaking she's "stradling the fence". Which kind of negates her reply for either side. So now it's 4 to 2 (you forgot me). So we're back to where we started. And just a fyi.....My wife's first cousin Terri, husband Jack just got back from Iraq, and he wept when he saw it.

Sorry drmiler, but after spending over 15min trying to figure out how to respond to you I give up. I have no patience for this level of spoon feeding.

Gay.

Super gay.

I got halfway through, and hit the "back" button.

Call me beyond hope, but I hate the sickly sweet stench of tripe like this.
